Tom is Founder + Chief Strategist of SIEGE Sponsorship, an independent sponsorship consultancy and analytics shop that helps agencies, rightsholders, and brands maximize the value of corporate sponsorships and other marketing partnerships. Tom has experience across every major professional sports league, as well as being a trusted advisor to a diverse collection of emerging and international sports organizations, global entertainment properties, major cultural attractions, and some of the world's largest brands.
Besides occasionally hanging his own shingle as an independent consultant, he has spent more than 20 years of his career leading strategy and analytics teams at IEG, WPP, Bruin Capital, Engine Shop, and Legends. As one of the original IEG valuation analysts, Tom has helped steward, evolve, and educate the marketplace in objective data-driven methodologies that are still deployed by brands, rightsholders, and agencies across the globe today.
As a strategist and analyst, he has been fortunate to count as soccer clients the USL, UEFA Champions League, English Football League, FC Porto, Eredivisie, Swiss Football Association, Juventus, Liverpool FC, NYCFC, Shakhtar Donetsk, San Diego FC, Right to Dream, Bay FC, Orlando City SC, Copa America, and Congolese club TP Mazembe.
Tom worked most closely with the USL from 2022-2024 to help establish the sponsorship strategy for the entire USL league ecosystem, including valuation, go-to-market efforts, and partnership modeling for the USL Championship and foundational support for the launch of the USL Women's Super League. He has also provided the league with counsel and guidance on its media partnerships, fan engagement, Pro/Rel assessment, and other strategic priorities across the league.
Tom has been an avid soccer fan for nearly four decades. He continues to play rec soccer twice a week in suburban Chicago with the Oak Park Athletic Club (aptly nicknamed "The Lungbusters"). When he's not playing, he's watching and rooting for his heartbreaking Tottenham Hotspur FC, his father's beloved Olympiacos FC, local pro clubs Chicago Fire and Chicago Stars, as well as local youth club, OPRF Alliance.
Tom is a lifelong Chicagoan and Illinoisan, having received both his bachelor's degree and MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Tom currently lives in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park with his wife, Sarah, and three daughters (big sis, Chloe, and twin tornadoes, Gigi and Olivia).
