About
Channing Chasten is a former professional soccer player, motivational speaker, author, and dedicated youth advocate. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where he played Division I soccer, Channing went on to fulfill his dream of playing professionally with Phoenix Rising FC. His experiences on and off the field shaped a powerful personal mission: to inspire the next generation to dream big, work hard, and believe in themselves-no matter their circumstances.
Channing is the author of The 1% Kid, a powerful and uplifting children's book that encourages youth to embrace a growth mindset and commit to the daily pursuit of excellence. He is the founder of The 1% Kid Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing underserved youth with resources, mentorship, and opportunities to succeed through literacy, goal-setting workshops, and sports-based programs.
He also leads 1% Kid Academy, a training platform focused on soccer development and mental performance, and Real Life of Juice, a media and motivational brand aimed at helping individuals grow through authentic storytelling and personal development. Whether speaking at schools, coaching aspiring athletes, or delivering keynote talks, Channing's mission is clear: to inspire others to unlock the 1% mindset within themselves.
